Privacy policy

VeteranJobs is run by FaujiTech (VETNEXT LLP). This page explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions: connectfaujitech@gmail.com.
What we collect
- When you browse: nothing that identifies you. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
- When you join: your name, email, phone number, last rank or role, LinkedIn profile (optional), whether you agreed to be contacted, and a password. We store only a one-way hash of your password, never the password itself.
- When you apply through us (referral roles only): the details on the application form — such as name, email, phone, LinkedIn, résumé link and your answers.
- When something breaks: a technical error report — the error message, the page, your browser type and, if signed in, your account ID.
Why we use it
- To let you sign in and see every job on the board.
- To pass referral applications to the hiring company you applied to.
- To contact you about jobs, programs and updates — only if you ticked the consent box.
- To fix bugs and protect the site from abuse.
We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Cookies
We set one cookie when you sign in, so you stay signed in: vj_member for members (up to 30 days) or vj_admin for administrators (up to 7 days). It holds a signed session ID only. Signing out or clearing cookies removes it.
Who processes it for us
- Netlify — hosts the website.
- Neon — stores the database, on servers in the United States.
- Resend — sends account emails such as password resets, when enabled.
Job listings come from public job postings; we don't send your data to job sources.
How long we keep it
- Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
- Applications: until the hiring process ends or you ask us to delete them.
- Error reports: only as long as needed to fix the problem.
- Job listings: removed automatically after 14 days.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent for contact, or raise a complaint. Email connectfaujitech@gmail.com from the address you signed up with and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, session cookies can't be read by scripts, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we'll tell you.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
